The Blog Post That Never Happened

So last year I started a blog with the intention of pouring my heart out in these internet streets. I was going to post weekly rituals, what I was dealing with emotionally, and my general philosophy on life and wellness. It was going to align perfectly!

Well…it never aligned! By April I was so busy organizing the retreat that the blog EASILY fell to the back burner. I had to understand some really important truths about myself and I was consumed with organizing and watching the same two blog posts lie dormant on my website.

The first truth was that I am only one human being and I don’t work very fast. No matter how much I try there is a limit to how much I can complete on any given day.

The second thing I realized was that I’m a private person that struggles to post to my social media accounts regularly and I rarely take pictures of myself. Being the owner of a growing brand and an entrepreneur, this presents a challenge. I’m tasked with honoring my impulse to keep things private but share enough so that people get to know me and want to buy what I’m selling! A Conundrum!

But I intend to figure it out. One step at a time. On post at a time. The first step was to let you all know what I’m dealing with and acknowledging that there are some parts of my life I just don’t want to share and that’s okay. The next step is to challenge myself to record/write my thoughts down more frequently and set aside some evenings to jot it all down. I plan to outsource my instagram/ facebook to a professional (shoutout to ShaVaughn) and schedule my facebook group post in advance. We’ll see how this goes.

Here’s to posting more in 2022!
